The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently announced details of an assistance program for farmers. The $16 billion package is aimed at supporting American agricultural producers who have been impacted by tariffs and other trade disruptions, resulting in the loss of traditional export markets.
The Market Facilitation Program (MFP) is one of a variety of programs implemented by USDA to support American farmers, ranchers and producers. To sign up for the program, visit farmers.gov/mfp and download the 2019 Market Facilitation Program Application (CCC-913). You can submit the completed application in person at your local FSA county office or send it to the office by fax, mail or email through December 6, 2019.
