INTEREST-FREE FINANCING FOR YOUTH LIVESTOCK PROJECTS

Our AgYouth Financing Program is an important part of the Association’s commitment to the next generation of farmers and ranchers. We proudly support young people who have joined a 4-H club, FFA chapter, or similar agricultural youth organization and who have an interest in agriculture.

Who Can Apply?

Youth agriculture program participants nine years of age or older as of the beginning of the fair year, who demonstrate a C average (2.0 GPA) or better in school, are eligible to apply.

What Are the Guidelines?

Funds may only be used to purchase and care for a project animal. Each student must keep accurate records available for a chapter or club advisor. At the end of the project or when the animal is sold, funds must be repaid.

How is the Program Set Up?

AgYouth funds are available for up to $2,500 per year, per student. Advances are made payable to the student and parent or guardian.

How Do I Apply?

  1. Contact your local youth agriculture program, or begin application with below online tool.
  2. Complete an application and agreement. A parent and adult club supervisor signature are required.
  3. Include a copy of your most recent report card.
  4. Submit application and report card no later than 60 days before the applicable sale date or fair via the below online application tool.
