Fraudsters are targeting accounts like email and social media to steal private information from your business or personal account. Important data like your password, Social Security number, and financial account information is at risk if data security is compromised.  Here are some quick tips to fight off fraud and stay cybersecure!

• Do not reply to unsolicited emails or text messages. Be especially weary of messages claiming to be from a financial institution or involving a monetary transaction.
• Do not use personal devices (phones/computers), websites, or services for personal banking/finance while on an unsecure Wi-Fi internet connection. Be aware of what private information you are sending over the internet.
• Always safeguard laptops and mobile devices. Do not leave unattended or in vehicles overnight, especially when traveling.
• Do not re-use the same password or username on websites, apps or services. Utilize complicated passwords or password manager software. Enable multi-factor authentication when available.
• If something looks strange, confirm with your internal IT department or Internet Service Provider (ISP).
