SANTA ROSA, Calif., (Nov. 7, 2024) – As key executive leaders transition into retirement in January 2025, American AgCredit has announced 5 updates to its executive team:
- Chief Banking Officer-Elect – Lynn Scherler
- Chief Customer Value Officer – Mike Lancaster
- Chief Transformation Officer – Dave Hoyt
- Chief Delivery Officer – Matt Jacobs
- Chief Business Technology Officer – Luke Massey
“The new executive team members add varied experience and offer new perspective and ideas to accelerate us forward as we seek to provide value to America’s farmers and ranchers,” said CEO Curt Hudnutt.
Lynn Scherler has been appointed chief banking officer elect. Scherler is no stranger to Farm Credit, having spent 22 of his 25-year banking career within the Farm Credit System. He has made impactful contributions as chief alliance officer, helping American AgCredit redefine how they prioritize partnerships in and outside of Farm Credit to drive scalable solutions for those in agriculture. Lynn will spend the next few months working closely with current Chief Banking Officer Gary Van Schuyver until his retirement.
Mike Lancaster has been named chief customer value officer and will focus on continuing to center American AgCredit’s business on its customers, fulfilling their mission by delivering value beyond basic funding, such as via solutions, expertise, and partnerships. He will nurture long-term collaboration with farmers and ranchers to protect and grow their profitability. His career in Farm Credit has spanned from managing regional banking teams and relationships to business transformation and most recently, serving as chief of staff.
Dave Hoyt has joined American AgCredit as chief transformation officer and will spearhead efforts and strategies that help the co-op deliver on operational priorities, continuous improvement efforts and new capabilities. Dave brings more than 30 years of experience as a strategic advisor and consultant. He most recently served as chief strategy officer and corporate vice president for solution delivery at Daugherty Business Solutions, focused on driving transformation in innovation and technology.
Matt Jacobs has accepted the role of chief delivery officer. His leadership is pivotal to how American AgCredit successfully executes and delivers on their business strategy, while helping the association manage change and optimize risk. Jacobs joined American AgCredit in 2021 and has led multiple centralized teams and organizational initiatives in business operations. This new role will build on his previous work and further advance how the co-op effectively delivers critical capabilities and products.
Luke Massey has accepted the role of chief business technology officer. As American AgCredit focuses on the roadmap for providing more value to its customers in the digital age, Massey will lead strategic efforts to ensure American AgCredit’s solutions can support a seamless customer experience, which includes identifying and evaluating emerging technologies. His career in Farm Credit and proven track record as a collaborative leader in business technology will help the agriculture lender continue to develop and integrate complex solutions that ultimately provide more value to its customers.
