Presenter bios: Claire Tauzer and her husband, Trevor, own Tauzer Apiaries . The second-generation family business has over 30,000 hives and 20 full-time beekeepers. Claire and Trevor started Sola Bee in 2011 and, together, they grew the brand into over 200 markets in Northern California. Sola Bee honey is available online and at Oliver’s market, Whole Foods, Nugget market, and in many tasting rooms throughout the county.

Elizabeth Vaughan, Farm to Market Tech Hub Specialist for CAFF, supports farmers across California with their technology and business needs. Elizabeth’s education is in business economics from UC Santa Barbara and sustainable horticulture from Cuyamaca College.

Alicia Baddorf is a contractor with the Small Farm Tech Program at CAFF, providing technical support to farmers seeking e-commerce and technology solutions to streamline their sales. She was most recently the sales manager at Capay Valley Farm Shop, a community and farmer-owned food hub in Esparto, California. Over the past ten years, Alicia has worn many hats at several nonprofit and for-profit diversified organic farms, including farming, and working in sales, marketing, and food safety.

Presenter bio: Regina Camozzi-Sepulveda was born and raised in the local Sonoma County agricultural community. Growing up on a family dairy in Petaluma, California and now beef cattle ranch, Regina pursued a degree in agricultural business from California State University, Fresno. Upon graduation, Regina returned to Sonoma County working in the agricultural finance industry. She has been with American AgCredit since 2017, where she is currently the primary Northern California retail banking lender handling all loans under $750,000 from Marin to Del Norte County.


Agri-Tourism Panel Discussion

They will be joined by Sonoma County’s permitting office to discuss regulatory considerations as you navigate on-farm opportunities.

Panelist bios: Lisa Poncia of Stemple Creek Ranch in Marin County, California, along with her husband Loren Poncia, has redefined small-scale family ranching. Lisa and Loren started Stemple Creek Ranch with the dream of raising quality, grass-finished beef and lamb to work with, not against, mother nature. Stemple Creek Ranch hosts private ranch tours, beautiful weddings, private and corporate events, and short-term vacation rentals in three guest lodges. Lisa manages the business side of Stemple Creek Ranch, including finance, marketing, and operations, and is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Marin Agricultural Land Trust.

Susan Kegley is the co-owner of Bees N Blooms, with her husband Geoff. Susan’s background as a Ph.D. chemist and founder of the Pesticide Research Institute has inspired and informed the creation of the farm. They grow certified organic lavender, producing their own essential oil and hydrosol. They also have a small nursery, growing certified organic ornamentals and trees. Bees N Blooms opens the farm to the public during lavender bloom—the Lavender Daze celebration and their incredibly successful Lavender U-Cut Experience. They also host private events (picnics and parties, weddings, and corporate retreats) and collaborate with others to provide a venue for sound healing and yoga retreats.

Tennis Wick is the director of Permit Sonoma, the county’s land use and planning agency. Wick has worked in both the public and private sector, and he co-founded Sonoma Vermiculture, which diverts food waste from landfills for breakdown by worms. He also served on the Petaluma Planning Commission and in various roles in Marin County’s planning department.
